Before each use, check the care labels on the fabrics to be ironed so
that the correct temperature setting is selected.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Before attempting any cleaning or maintenance, always unplug the
device from the mains power supply and allow it to cool for
approximately 30 minutes.
Drain the remaining water from the water tank to prevent it leaking
during cleaning. Wipe the iron with a soft, damp cloth and dry
thoroughly.
To remove any build-up around the steam holes, use a cotton wool tip
dampened with methylated spirits, wipe off the methylated spirits with
a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
CLEANING THE ANTI-CALC FILTER
• The anti-calc filter should be cleaned every 2-4 weeks,
depending upon the frequency of use and the hardness of water
in the area.
• Remove the water tank from its base unit.
• Remove the anti-calc filter by unscrewing it from its housing,
lifting it out of the tank and disconnecting the supply pipe.
• Soak the anti-calc filter in white vinegar for a minimum of 4
hours.
• Once the anti-calc filter has been soaked, rinse it with tap water
and then refit into the water tank ensuring you reconnect the
supply pipe.
