Enabling/disabling the Fast Freeze function
With the icons unlocked, hold "+" for 3 seconds to enable or disable the Fast Freeze function.
Note:
If the freezer temperature was below zero (i.e., in Freezer mode) before activating the Fast
Freeze function, the freezer will return to the sub-zero temperature setting selected before
enabling the function; and if the freezer temperature was above zero (i.e., in Refrigerator
mode) before activating the Fast Freeze function, the freezer will default to -18 ºC after
deactivating the Fast Freeze function.
Child Lock
The Child Lock is useful to prevent unwanted changes in temperature and operation
(unwanted activation of the Fast Freeze function).
1.
To enable the Child Lock: If no icon is pressed within 3 minutes, the Child Lock of the
freezer will be enabled automatically.
2.
To disable the Child Lock: Hold "-" for 3 s to disable the Child Lock.
Memory function
In the event of a power failure, the freezer will maintain the same settings as before the
power failure.
Safety delayed start
To prevent damage to the freezer compressor in the event of a short power failure (i.e., less
than 5 minutes), the compressor will not start immediately after switch-on.
Fault alarm
If the display shows "E0", a fault has occurred in the freezer. Contact the official Cecotec
Technical Support Service.
Due to individual freezer factors, the actual interior temperature may have a margin of error
in relation to the set temperature, which is normal and does not affect the use of the product.
It is normal for water droplets or frost to appear on the freezer latch and door seals in humid
weather, which will not affect normal use. In this case, wipe it with a dry cloth in good time.
Storing frozen food
Commercially pre-frozen food should be stored according to the supplier's instructions.
To preserve the quality of frozen food, you should remember the following:
1.
Place packages in the freezer as soon as possible after purchase.
2.
Do not exceed the best-before or use-by dates on the packaging.

Freezing fresh food
Place fresh food to be frozen close to the side walls to ensure rapid freezing and away
from already frozen food, if possible.
Never exceed maximum capacity. Do not freeze too large a quantity at one time.
Food is best preserved when fully frozen as quickly as possible.
Do not mix frozen food with fresh food.
5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
Never use any sharp abrasive instruments, soap, household cleaners, detergents, and
wax polish for cleaning.
Use lukewarm water to clean the freezer interior and wipe it dry with a cloth.
Once the inside of the freezer is at room temperature, you can use a damp cloth with a
solution of one teaspoon of baking soda with one litre of water to wipe the inside and
dry it.
You should regularly remove the accumulated ice deposit with a plastic scraper. A large
accumulation of ice will have a negative effect on the performance of the freezer.
If the freezer is not to be used for a long period of time, turn it off, remove all food, clean
it, and leave the door ajar.
Check the door seals regularly to ensure that they are clean and free of food remains.
Note
Never use water to wash the compressor. Wipe with a dry cloth after cleaning to prevent rusting.
Defrosting
Defrost the freezer twice a year or when a frost layer of about 7 mm (1/4") has formed.
To ensure that frozen food is at the lowest possible temperature, 6 hours before
defrosting, set the thermostat selector switch to level 7 (quick freeze option). Wrap all
food in several layers of newspaper and store in a cool place.
Remove the water line and place it in a water container.
Remove the basket from the freezer. Remove the basket from the freezer.
When defrosting is complete, remove any water that has accumulated in the bottom
of the freezer, as described in the section "Removing water", and dry the inside of the
freezer thoroughly. Set the thermostat to the fast freeze setting for 3 hours.
Draining water. Fig. 4.
There is a drainage outlet at the bottom of the outside of the freezer. When defrosting
the freezer, remove the rubber cover, then the defrosting water will be ejected out and
discharged through the drain pipe.
