NEC or your local electrical code. If you are not familiar
with these codes and requirements, consult a qualified
electrician.

MOUNTING OVER RECESSED JUNCTION BOX
NOTE: Knockouts are provided for mounting over a 3-1/2" or 4"
octagonal junction box or a single gang junction box.
1.
Remove lens assembly by loosening screws on side of frame.
Swing lens assembly open and slide lens assembly on hinges to
remove from mounting box. See Figure 1.
2.
Remove center plug from mounting box. See Figure 2.
3.
Drill out appropriate knockouts for chosen junction box. See
Figure 3.
NOTE: Fixture should not be exclusively supported by junction
box. Drill through appropriate knockouts in (3) locations around
perimeter of back box for additional support. See Figure 4.
4.
Pull supply leads from junction box through center hole in
mounting box. Attach mounting box to mounting surface at junction
box and at (3) mounting locations around perimeter of mounting
box. Customer supplied hardware appropriate for the mounting
surface should be used.
NOTE: A high grade caulking material, such as silicone rubber,
should be used between the three gaskets around perimeter of
the mounting box and the mounting surface and around perimeter
of the junction box gasket to prevent water entry into the fixture or
junction box.
NOTE: A bubble level is provided on mounting box to aid in
leveling box.
5.
Replace the lens assembly on hinges, but do not close.
6.
Use switch inside lens assembly to set desired color temperature.
See Figure 5.
NOTE: Power must always be OFF when adjusting color
temperature.
NOTE: Factory setting is 4K.
7.
Fixture is supplied with a photocell to switch the unit on at dusk
and off at dawn. If photocell control of fixture is not required,
disconnect photocell by unplugging connector from photocell. See
Figure 6.
8.
Rotate knob inside lens assembly to select desired wattage for
fixture. See Figure 7.
NOTE: Power must always be OFF when adjusting wattage.
NOTE: Factory setting is maximum wattage.
9.
Make wiring connections per the Electrical Connections section.
10. Swing lens into closed position. Retighten screws that were
loosened in Step 1 above.
