Available punches and dies
Different punches and dies are available. Please refer to the catalogue or the appendix and give the article
numbers when ordering. When punching carriers with an inclined flange the corresponding 5° inclined dies are to
be used. Punching inclined flanges is only possible with the APS 70 and APS 120 models.
Starting the APS punch together with the pumps
1. The black "START" button begins the punching process. The punching process automatically ends when the
material has been punched.
2. The red "STOP" button enables the tool to stop without returning to its starting position. This stop function
facilitates the positioning of the punch with the tip of the punch mark.
3. The red "OUT" button enables a forced return to the starting position of the punch. (e.g. when the tool is
jammed).
Check the correct cutting clearance between the punch and die-plates before loading the
material.
Slowly push down the punches using the START/STOP function until you can check the proper
alignment of the punch and the die-plates. Ensure it is the correct punch and die-plate
combination, especially with long hole punches.
Punches
1. Set the hold-down device as low as possible by turning over the material to be punched. (Depending on material
thickness 1,0 to 1,5 mm supernatant).
2. When the tip of the punch is aligned with the centring, press the black "START" button (hold for approximately
two seconds).
3. Observe the maximum material thickness and shear strength for the equipment.
Light spraying of the punch with cutting oil prolongs the lifespan and ensures a problem-free
retraction of the punch from the material, particularly with oxidised surface material.
