Possible cause
The generator is in sleep
mode.
The tool is faulty or ser-
vicing is due.
The power tool is too
cold.
Chuck not sufficiently
greased.
The tool is faulty or ser-
vicing is due.
The overheating preven-
tion cut-out has been
activated.

high.
Action to be taken
▶ Apply a load to
the generator by
connecting a second
power consumer (e.g.
worklight). Switch the
tool off and then on
again.
▶ Have the product
repaired only by Hilti
Service.
▶ Bring the tip of the
accessory tool into
contact with the
working surface,
switch the power
tool on and allow it
to run. If necessary,
repeat the procedure
until the hammering
mechanism begins to
operate.
▶ Inject 1-2 strokes
of grease from the
dispenser into the
chuck. Use genuine
Hilti grease. Then fit
the accessory tool and
distribute the grease
in the chuck by pulling
the accessory tool in
and out several times.
▶ Have the product
repaired only by Hilti
Service.
▶ Allow the tool to cool
down. Clean the
air vents. Running
under no load is still
possible.
▶ Use a different power
outlet. Check the
electric supply.
