C.B.M. S.r.l. Medical Equipment - Via Castello 10, 26038 Torre dé Picenardi (CR) - Italy
When the reservoir is empty clean its bottom and the
sensors using some cotton and a pliers long enough.
Ž
Every 50 cycles, or each month, clean the sensor of
the water level in the chamber.
Open the door and remove the bottom grate , raising
and
taking
it
off.
The
white/transparent small rod about 3 cm. long coming
up vertically from the bottom, in the middle of the
resistance.
The small rod and the head nut must be carefully
cleaned using a wad of cotton wool soaked with
alcohol, making sure not to let any cotton residue.
•
Every 50 cycles , or each month, check that during
the sterilization phase the pressure indicated by the
manometer is in the band 2~2.3 bars for the
temperature 134°C, or in the band 1~1.3 bars for the
temperature 121°C. In case this does not take place
call the service centre.
•
Every 150 cycles or every 3 months, or everytime
you think it is necessary, clean the door gasket. Use
a wad of cotton soaked with alcohol to clean the
gasket.
'
Every 300 cycles, or every 6 months check that the
stop nut is not wearing out because of some defect.
The stop nut can wear out if the screw mouths are
not normal and when you have to force more than
necessary closing the door.
You can realize that the nut is wearing out if you find
some brass dust in the threads of the closing screw.
In order to avoid that the door is kept closed thanks
to the safety lever only you must change the stop nut
as soon as possible. Each month lubricate the nut
and the screw. We recommend to use lubricants for
rolling and plain bearings, with a thermic field of -20°
÷ +300°C.
We recommend, in any case, to replace the piece
every three years.
'
Every 300 cycles or every 6 months or everytime you
think it is necessary clean the sterilization chamber
and the door. In order to clean the chamber and the
door use a wad of cotton wool soaked with alcohol,
making sure not to let any cotton residue.
"
Every 6 months clean the water load filter , at the
same time of the water change in the reservoir, that
is when the reservoir is empty. Remove the left panel
and screw out with a 19 mm. key the brass nut
placed on the pipe fitting under the reservoir. Take
out the wire gauze that must be cleaned with
compressed air or with running water, then replace it
in its seat and retighten the nut.
"
Once a year , at least, it is necessary to verify the
integrity of the safety -valve:

The safety-valve is placed inside the carter, righ side
of the sterilizing chamber .
Unscrew the higher knurled part until you can hear a
click, then insert the nose of a screwdriver into the
slit (the lower part of the valve), and raise the small
piston.
After the execution of this operation retighten the
higher part of the valve.
We recommend, in any case, to replace the safety -
valve every three years.
FIRST INTERVENTION GUIDE
ATTENTION: Before calling for service assistance
check the following guide and the enclosed table of
alarms
FAULT: Plug inserted, green main switch on position
I but all is inactive (including the green switch pilot
light).
CAUSE:
a) Current is not arriving.
b)
Fuses burnt out
REMEDY:
a) Check to ensure that power is present
b) Check to ensure that the main switch is in
posizione I
c) Replace the fuses inside the main switch
Before starting to change the fuses the power cable
must be detached from the plug.
If after turning on once more or during the first cycle
they burn out again immediately, then technical
service assistance must be called in ordeer to rectify
the fault causing the protective fuses to jump.
DEFECT: Only the green main switch is lighted, but
no pilot lamp is lighted on the control panel.
CAUSE:
The overheating cutoff is operating
because of an excess temperature in the chamber.
SOLUTION: Take the outlet away and press the
button placed in the hole of the left panel with the
help of a screwdriver (see Fig. 3 - 5).
Press the button very hard in order to reset the
maximum thermostat. If, during the following cycle,
the maximum thermostat should interfere again, call
the technical assistance in order to remove the
trouble causing the intervention.
ATTENTION: In all cases of malfunctioning empty
the chamber connecting the silicone pipe, linked to
the water drain tap, with a container . Then open the
tap and the water in the chamber will flow down in
the external container.
ATTENTION: Before unscrewing any part of the
sterilizer be sure that this one is disconnected from
the feeding network
GUARANTEE:
C.B.M. guarantees its own autoclaves for one (1)
year from the recording date of the first cycle, against
possible building defects or damages to the
components not due according to the irrevocable
opinion of C.B.M., to an improper use of the
autoclave from the operators.
Warning.
