To avoid brush head breakage which may generate
a small part choking hazard or damage teeth:
• Prior to each use, ensure the brush head fi ts well.
Discontinue use of the toothbrush, if brush head
no longer fi t properly. Never use without a brush
head.
• If the toothbrush handle is dropped, the brush
head should be replaced before the next use even
if no damage is visible.
• Clean brush head properly after each use (see
«Cleaning Guidelines» paragraph). Proper clean-
ing ensures the safe use and functional life of the
toothbrush.
• Replace brush (head) every 3 months or sooner if
brush head becomes worn.
Important Information
• This toothbrush and pouch (accessory) contain
NdFeB magnets and generate magnetic fi elds.
If you use a medical device or have an implanted
medical device, consult with the medical device
manufacturer or a physician, if you have ques-
tions about safely using your Oral-B iO tooth-
brush.
• Your toothbrush can be used with your smart-
phone (fi nd details under «Connecting your
toothbrush to your Smartphone»). To avoid
electromagnetic interference and/or compatibility
confl icts, disable Bluetooth on your toothbrush
handle (6) before using it in restricted surround-
ings, such as aircrafts or specially marked areas
in hospitals.
• Persons with pacemakers should always keep the
toothbrush more than 15 centimeters (six inches)
from the pacemaker while turned on. Anytime
you suspect interference is taking place disable
Bluetooth.

A - Using your Oral irrigator
Your Oral irrigator comes with a convenient wall
holder. It can be mounted easily using the attached
items (picture 1).
Before using for the fi rst time, fi ll the water container
(C) and allow the water to run through completely by
holding the irrigator handle (G) over a washbasin.
1. Attach one of the irrigator nozzles (E) to the
handle until it locks into place (picture 2).
Fill the water container with luke warm water
(picture 5).
2. Turn on the irrigator by pressing the on/off
switch (I) (picture 6). (When doing so, the handle
switch should be in the lower position = water
stop).
3. Select the water pressure with the pressure con-
trol dial (J) (1 = gentle, 5 = strong) (picture 7). We
recommend that you start with setting 1, espe-
cially if your gums tend to bleed or if children are
using the Oral irrigator.
4. Bend over a washbasin and guide the nozzle to
your teeth and gums (picture 8). Slide the handle
switch (F) up to start the water stream (picture
9). Keep your mouth slightly open to allow the
water to run into the washbasin.
Slide the handle switch up (F) for a continuous
water stream (picture 9).
Slide the handle switch down and press into it, to
use the on-demand function (picture 10).
Caution: Turn off the Oral irrigator by switching off
the on/off switch once the water container is empty.
Longer operation of the Oral irrigator without water
may damage the appliance.
OxyJet nozzle
Nozzle functions:
You can choose between two diff erent nozzle
functions by sliding the nozzle switch (D) down or
up (picture 3). Before doing so, turn off the water
stream by sliding the handle switch down:
Rotating stream for general cleaning and gum mas-
sage (nozzle switch in lower position): The rotation
of the water stream and its micro air-bubbles are de-
signed for easy penetration into the interdental space
and gentle gum massage.
Focused stream type (nozzle switch in upper position):
The focused water stream with its micro-bubbles are
designed for targeted cleaning.
