Thank you for your decision to purchase this high quality bathroom scale. Please peruse
read this instruction manual prior to first start up and keep this user instruction careful to
have this information on hand whenever it is needed.
1. Conditions of use
If possible, the weighing should be done undressed. Please keep the weighing
conditions constant always at the same daytime. By nature, a body is subject of
fluctuations (for example loss of water after taking exercise or after a sauna visit, after a
meal, etc.). To enable comparable readings it is important to take the weighing if possible
always under the same conditions.
ADE Germany takes no responsibility for any damages or losses caused by the use of
this bathroom scale or for Third Party claims. This product is exclusive intended for
private use. This product is not for commercial or professional use in hospitals or other
medical facilities.
2. Commissioning
Before first time use of the scale, please check at the beginning carefully if there are any
damages at the packing or at the device. Not on any account use the device if it is
damaged. In this case, please immediately contact us. Our staff members willingly will
help you.
Safety guidelines: The appliance is not intend for the use of persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they get supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
Place the scale on a plane and firm surface (tiles, hardwood
flooring, etc.) to avoid a wrong measurement on carpeted
floor.
Always stay in the centre of the scale to prevent the scales
tipping to the side.
Attention - Hazard of slips! Do not stand on the scale with
wet feet or on a slippery surface of the weighing platform.
Please care that no heavy object may fall on the scale.
Otherwise, the glass surface could break or the scale might
become damaged.
Clean the scale only by using a slightly damp cloth. Do not
use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents. Do not submerge
the scale under water.

Preparation:
Open the battery cover at the bottom side of the scale and remove the battery safety strip.
Please ensure the correct polarity of the battery (+/-).
There is a little black switch at the front side of the scale for country specific settings with
the option to switch from kg = kilogram to lb = pound or to st = stone. Please pay
attention to use the scale under consideration of your country specific unit of weight.
3. Weighing function
1. Switch on the scale by using the step-on-function. Just step on the scale. Remain
stationary on the weighing platform and do not hold you tight. After a few seconds,
your weight will be displayed.
2. After weighing, step off the scale. The scale will switch-off automatically after a few
seconds.

Overload - The weight exceeds the maximum capacity of 180 kg.
Please immediately remove the critical load to avoid load cells damage.

Battery is used up - Please replace the battery with the intended
type (1 x CR2032).

Weighing procedure failed – Please repeat the weighing procedure.

6. Warranty
ADE warrants for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase that it will remedy any
defects due to faulty material or workmanship free of charge by repair or replacement.
When making a guarantee claim, please return the weighing scale together with the sales
slip including the reason of complaint to your dealer.
