Transferring the system key from
one HSM4-io to an additional
transmitter
• To carry out this function, both hand
transmitters must be within range of a
taught-in, operational io-homecontrol
product (e.g. an ESE1-io receiver/
transmitter unit with red LED on).
• On the HSM4-io hand transmitter which
is to transmit the system key, carefully
press the "KEY" button with a blunt
object for at least 3 s, max. 4 s (Fig.
- Both LEDs of this hand transmitter will
slowly flash green.
• On the HSM4-io hand transmitter which
is to receive the system key, carefully
press the "KEY" button with a blunt
object for max. 1 s (Fig.

- The left LED of this hand transmitter
will slowly flash orange.
• Transfer was successful if
- the left LED of the receiving hand
transmitter lights up red for approx. 4 s.
