MAINTENANCE
In order to maintain the pump (only mechanical part) in full efficiency, every 3/6 months, as an
OPTIONAL
maintenance, it is advisable to shoot a few seconds (with fluid or water) by operating it
via the alarm system.
As an
ANNUAL
maintenance, the following is prescribed to:
1. Replace the backup batteries (2x12V 1.3A are wired in series to obtain 24v)
2. Disconnect 220V from the appliance, open the burner contact compartment located near the
pump
3. Check the conditions of the 220V power supply cables of the burner and the "tablet" safety
thermostat.
4. Check that the safety thermostat is still perfectly adherent to the burner.
5. Close the contact compartment and re-power the device
6. Measure the power consumption on the 220V mains, must be almost zero when disarmed and
maximum 9 amps when armed
7. Perform a complete shot (it can be done using water but it is advisable to use the Fog Generator
Liquid)
Repeat the operation if the steam generated emits a burning smell
8. Replace or top up the DEFENDERTECH liquid tank
9. Press the DIPSWITCH No. 4 to restore the liquid level to 100%
10. Press the DIPSWITCH No. 5 to restore any malfunctions generated by the maintenance work.
CAUTION!!!
If NON-CONFORMITY has been detected
for points 3 - 4 - 6 immediately turn off the power
and contact the DefenderTech Service
