Initial operation

Open the lid(15) and pour the desired amout of wate into wate tank. You can prepare a maximum
10 large cups or 12 small cups per percolating process.

Insert the permanent filte into the filter holder(4). You can also hold the permanent filter into the
permanent filter by the carrying handle(2) to make it easier to insert.
The cone-shaped filter sides must correspond with the cone-shaped interior of the filter holder.
n
Insert the appropriate amout of filter coffee (see the packaging) into the permanent filter using the
n
measuring spoon (8) and then close the filter holder with the filter lid (1). lnsert the plug into a
suitable socket. Set the On/Off switch I/0 to position
n
The operation light illuminates. The percolating process has started.
n
Caution: To prevent the coffee pot or filter housing overflowing, do not over-fill the water tank.
n
Note: Your coffee machine is equipped with an anti-drip system. The drip stop (5)
undermeath the filter holder, allows you to temporaily remove the coffee pot from the machine
during the machine during the percolating process. However, to prevent the filter holder from
overflowing, you should replace the coffee pot underneath the filter holder as quickly as possible.

After the water has percolated through the coffee machine, set the On/Off switch I/0 to position O.
n
When pouring from the coffee pot be very carefuli not to spill any hot water or hot coffee.
n
After the percolating process has finished the warming plate (9) keeps the coffee warm inside inside
the coffee pot.
Always switch off the machine and remove the plug from the socket if you no longer wish to use the
n
warming function.
n
You can use this machine to prepare tea. Just insert tea powder into the permanent filter instead of
filter coffee. It is also possible to place teabags into the permanent filter.
Cleaning and care

Remove the mains plug from the socker before cleaning the machine.
n
Clean the housing with a slightly moistened cloth.
n
Never hold the coffee machine under running water and do not submerse it in water or other liquids.
n
The filter holder can be swivelled from its position for easy cleaning and it can also be liftted from its
mounting bracket.
n
Clean the coffee machine set properly and wash the filter holder, filter hoder, filter lid and the
permanent filter thoroughly with warm water and some washing-up liquid if necessary.
n
Wash the coffee pot in warm water and some washing-up liquid if necessary.
n
Wipe the water tank from time to time with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents!
Decalcifying
n
To ensure that the coffee machine maintains its excellent quality, it is recommended to decalcify it
from time to time.
n
The amount of time between each decalcification process decalcification process depends on the
hardness of the water and the frequency of use. Only use decalcifiers that are specified for use with
coffee machines and follow the instructions specified by the manufacturer.
n
Pour fresh water, mixed with the prescribed quantity of decalcifier, into the wate tank until it reaches
the top marking.
n
Place the coffee pot on the warming plate.
n
Start the percolating process as described above.
n
As soon as the percolating process has finished, remove the full coffee pot and then empty out the
solution. Do not pour the decalcifier into enamelled sink. Do not use the same solution a second
time.
