4 INSTALLATION, PRE-USE CONTROLS, DELIVERY AND
HANDLING
4.1
Connection to the extension pole
•
Fit the extension pole (12) or (13) on the tool (turning it clockwise) by screwing it onto the connection (2) until it
locks; for disassembly, turn it anticlockwise.
4.2
Connection to the air supply
•
Set the pressure to 6
•
Check the filter and clean it if necessary.
•
Connect the air hose to the
impurities.
WARNING!
Just use compressors or pneumatic equipment complying with the current laws and fi tted with a
maximum safety valve.
NOTE
•
Make sure that the air hose is in perfect condition. It should not be bent or damaged in any way.
•
Adjust the air lubricator fi tted on the compressor so that a drop falls every 7/8 seconds. When
necessary, add Campagnola BIG FLU or low toxic FUDY FLU oil.
4.3
Control devices
The tool is started by pressing the handle lever after having disengaging the safety device, or by opening the tap
according to the extension pole model.
The tool stopping is carried out by releasing the hand grip lever or closing the air supply tap.
4.4
Delivery and handling
The tool is packaged and transported by the manufacturer to the Dealer using a carton box. The total weight of the
packaging is about 1,400 kg the box is easily movable without the aid of any special equipment.
WARNING!
The handling operations have to be carried out according to the current working environment safety
regulations.
5 OPERATING THE TOOL
5.1
Use of the tool
Before starting work with the tool, wear protective clothing as shown in picture (E) and check that all safety and
protection systems are functioning and fitted correctly.
WARNING!
•
Operate the tool only when it is inserted between the branches; improper use causes greater wear.
•
Do not make the rakes idle. They could suffer damage in the structure.
•
Use the tool for the aims described in "Product Description" only. Any other kind of use may cause
injuries.
The operator, after having gripped the tool with both hands, for working must perform the following operation:
•
Carefully put a branch between the harvester rakes, operate the tool using the handle or the tap and comb the
branch from the top to the bottom making the fruit fall down.
WARNING!
If the harvester gets entangled or stops among the branches, disconnect the air supply hose and manually
unlock the tool.
