Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING
• Before cleaning or maintaining the unit, make sure that
it has been switched off and unplugged from the mains
socket. Then let it cool completely.
• Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid.
• Wipe the heating plates with kitchen roll to remove any grease
before cleaning them with a wrung cloth that has been soaked
in a washing-up liquid solution.
• Wipe them over once more with a damp cloth - this time soaked
in clean water - and thoroughly dry them with kitchen roll.
• The heating plate can be detached and washed in hot water
with a small amount of washing-up liquid.
NOT DISHWASHER-SAFE.
• In the event of stubborn residue, pour a small amount of cooking
oil onto the heating plate, leave it to work for 5 minutes, then
wipe it once the residue has softened.
• Wipe the external surfaces with a soft, damp cloth, and make
sure that no moisture or grease gets into the air vents.
Do not use cleaners, abrasive products or steel wool. These are
likely to scratch the surface and damage the product.
• Make sure that all the surfaces are completely dry before using
the unit again.
• Reposition the removable heating plates on the main unit if
they have been removed.
• In order to avoid damaging the non-stick ceramic coating, do
not cut food on the cooking surfaces.
