EQUIPMENT MAINS WORKING SETTING
Depending on the destination area, your Marantz product has
been prepared to operate either on a predetermined mains
voltage or on a variable voltage which can be selected with a
voltage selector (115 V / 230 V). The voltage for the former
type has been set to: 240 V for Australia and U.K. models,
230 V for General Europe model. However, the voltages for
these models can also be switched to 230 V and 240 V
respectively. When it is required to switch the predetermined
voltage of your model, please consult your dealer or the
service station in your area.
IMPORTANT:
This apparatus is fitted with an approved moulded
13 Amp
plug. To change a fuse in this type of plug proceed as follows:
1. Remove fuse cover and fuse.
2. Fix new fuse which should be a BS1362 80mA, A.S.T.A. or
BSI approved type.
3. Refit the fuse cover.
If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket outlets, it
should be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted in its place.
If the mains plug contains a fuse, this should have a value of
80mA.
If a plug without a fuse is used, the fuse at the
distribution board should not be greater than 5A.
NOTE:
The severed
plug must be destroyed to avoid a
possible shock hazard should it be inserted into a
13A socket elsewhere.
HOW TO CONNECT A PLUG
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with
the following code:
BLUE—*NEUTRAL' ("N")
BROWN—"LIVE® ("L")
1. The BLUE wire must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter "N" or coloured BLACK:
2. Tne BROWN wire must be connected to the terminal which
iS marked with the letter "L" or coloured RED.
3. Do not connect either wires to the earth terminal in the plug

Before replacing the plug cover, make certain that the cord

FEATURES
e The SX-72 makes use of a DSP (Digital Signal Processor),
which is very effective for suppressing noise on LP records
caused
by scratches
inflicted during storage or by
accidental impact. This scratch noise suppression effect is
obtained without compromising the original surface noise of
reproduced records or the identity of the music.
e In addition to LP records, this unit allows playback of a DAT,
compact cassette or disc which has been recorded from a
scratched LP record, without spoiling the quality of the
original music.
e The unit has two analogue inputs, one digital (coaxial)
output and two analogue outputs.
