Safety regulations for the battery
• Keep the battery out of children's reach.
• Only use genuine Heraeus Kulzer GmbH batteries.
• To charge the battery only use the Heraeus Kulzer GmbH charging unit (7). Do not
charge the battery with universal battery chargers. Risk of explosion and fi re!
• Dispose of the battery in a suitable manner in accordance with the laws applic-
able. Under no circumstances may it be disposed of along with domestic waste.
The owner is liable for any damage caused by improper disposal of the battery.
• Do not use the battery for purposes other than those specifi ed.
Risk of explosion !!
• Do not open, pierce or squash the battery; it contains toxic substances.
• Do not burn the battery or expose it to high temperatures: risk of explosion!
• Do not short the ends of the battery: risk of burning and fi re!
• The battery of the Signum HiLite pre is not charged when it is delivered.
7.2 Polymerisation
Connect up the following accessories in order to use the Signum HiLite pre:
Place the glare shield in the groove at the top (2) of the handpiece, see chapter 5
(Device description). For pregelling,
the mobile handpiece can be
removed from the charging unit (7)
and guided freely over the
material to be polymerised. The
slide switch (3) to start light
curing is located on the hand-
piece. Depending on which direc-
tion you move the slide switch in,
you can choose whether light
curing is intermittent or con-
tinuous.
With the aid of the articulated arms (6) on the charging unit (7) you can fi rmly position
the handpiece above the material to be polymerised.
Note !!
For the curing times of intermediate/fi nal polymerisation please refer to the separate
working instructions for the particular material. For fi nal polymerisation an additional
device is required, e. g. Herafl ash.
