Movement detection function
If movement
is detected while measurement is being carried out and more
pressure is applied by the pressure cuff, the (&
mark will be displayed
and a warning will sound (this has nothing to do with whatever else is
displayed on the LCD display).
e Please carry out blood pressure measurement
again if the ESS
mark
flashes or is lit,
e If the hand or wrist to which the pressure cuff is attached is moved while
measurement
is being carried out (e.g. the wrist is moved
suddenly), in
some cases correct measurements may not be obtained.
e When movement has been detected during measurement, the ESS
mark
flashes
when
the blood
pressure
reading
obtained
during
that
measurement is displayed.
(If this reading is saved, the ESS mark will flash whenever it is recalled.)

*This function is designed to help you to take measurements accurately (see page 31).
Even if the Movement mark is not displayed, we recommend that measurements be taken
2~3 times in a comfortable position in order to obtain an accurate reading (see pages 14-
16 for correct position).
