ADJUSTING THE HOT LIMIT STOP (see Figure 5)
CAUTION
• Installation should be in accordance with local plumbing and building codes.
• It is recommended to use an ASSE 1070/ASME A112.1070/CSA B125.70
water temperature limiting device.
• As the installer of this valve, it is your responsibility to properly INSTALL
and ADJUST this valve per the instructions given. This valve does not
automatically adjust for inlet temperature changes, therefore, someone
must make the necessary Hot Limit Stop adjustments at the time of
installation and further adjustments may be necessary due to seasonal water
temperature change. YOU MUST inform the owner/user of this requirement
by following the instructions.
NOTICE
Rotating the limit stop counter-clockwise will decrease the maximum
water temperature allowed by the valve.
1. Prior to setting the hot limit stop, run the faucet for approximately one
minute in both the hot and cold full "ON" positions, to ensure the hot water is
at the hottest and the coldest temperature the system can provide.
NOTICE
A thermometer can be used to determine when the hottest and coldest
temperatures are reached.
2. Rotate the handle (AC) to full cold and in the off position.
3. Remove the temperature indicator button (AD), loosen the set screw (AE)
and remove the handle (AC) and decorative cap (AF).
4. With needle nose pliers, pinch on the tab (AH-1) and lift hot limit stop (AH)
off of the faucet cartridge (AI).
5. Install the hot limit stop (AH) in the desired position on the faucet cartridge
(AI), aligning the marker location (AH-2) in the desired position.
6. Check to see if the hot limit stop (AH) is set to the desired temperature by:
a. Turn the handle left to the hot position and open the valve.
b. Let the hot water run for one minute and then check the water
temperature to see if it at the desired temperature.
c. If the temperature is not at the desired setting repeat step 6 until correct
setting is reached.
7. Re-install the decorative cap (AF) and handle (AC).
NOTICE
When installing the indicator button (AD) ensure the blue is on the right
side of the handle and the red is on the left.
CAUTION
DO NOT overtighten decorative cap (AF).

l'eau conforme ASSE 1070/ASME A112.1070/CSA B125.70.
• Comme l'installateur de ce robinet, il est de votre responsabilité
d'INSTALLER correctement et d'AJUSTER cette valve selon les instructions
fournies. Cette valve ne s'ajuste pas automatiquement pour les changements
de température d'admission, donc, quelqu'un doit apporter les modifications
nécessaires à la butée d'eau chaude au moment de l'installation et
d'autres ajustements peuvent être nécessaires en raison des changements
saisonniers de la température d'eau. VOUS DEVEZ informer l'utilisateur de
cette exigence en suivant les instructions.
AVIS
Tourner la butée dans le sens anti-horaire va diminuer la température d'eau
maximale permise par le régulateur.
1. Avant de régler la butée de limite chaude, faites tourner le robinet pendant
environ une minute dans les positions « ON » chaude et froide, pour vous
assurer que l'eau atteigne la température la plus chaude et la plus froid
possible pour le système.
AVIS
Un thermomètre peut être utilisé pour déterminer quand les températures
les plus chaudes et les plus froides sont atteintes.
2. Tourner la manette (AC) à froid total et en position d'arrêt.
3. Retirez le bouton indicateur de température (AD), desserrez la vis de réglage
(AE) et retirez la poignée (AC) et le capuchon décoratif (AF).
4. Avec la pince à bec effilé, pincez l'onglet (AH-1) et retirez la butée de
température chaude (AH) hors de la cartouche du robinet (AI).
