Step 2. DRAIN ASSeMBLY INStALLAtION (see Figure 2)
FLANGE SEAL
1. Apply silicone to underside of flange (P). Insert flange (P) into sink drain hole.
DRAIN INSTALL
1. Install black gasket (Q), washer (R) and nut (S) onto flange (P) from below sink but do not tighten nut (S).
CAUTION
DO NOT turn flange (P) while tightening nut (S) or sealant may not seal drain.
2. Remove excess sealant from around the flange (P) and the sink.
3. Insert gasket (T) into the tail piece (U) and hand tighten onto the flange (P). With pivot opening facing toward faucet body, tighten the tail piece (U)
onto the flange (P).
PIVOT ROD INSTALL
1. Remove stopper (O) and dispose of the protective cap (ZA).
2. Insert the stopper (O) into the flange (P).
3. The stopper (O) can be installed in two positions:
a. Removable with the stopper (O) rotated 90° and resting on the horizontal rod (X) (Detail 3a).
b. Non-removable with the horizontal rod (X) through the hole in the stopper (O) (Detail 3b).
4. Install washer (V) and spacer (W) into the pivot opening.
5. Install the horizontal rod (X) into the pivot opening.
6. Hand tighten the pivot nut (Y) onto the tail piece (U).
LIFT ROD INSTALL
1. Attach horizontal rod (X) to strap (AA) using clip (Z).
2. Install lift rod assembly (N) through the faucet body (A) into the strap (AA).
NOTICE
The strap (AA) may need to be bent to allow the lift rod assembly (N) to raise and lower the stopper (O). Adjust as required.
3. Tighten screw (AB).
4. Connect assembly to drain (ZB*) (not supplied).
