arning: the temperatures of the accessible surfaces may be elevated when the appliance is in use.
INSTALLATION
• After having removed the packaging, ensure that the appliance is in good order; if you have any
doubts, do not use it and consult a qualified professional. The packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene,
staples etc... ) must not be left within reach of children or irresponsible people, as they pose health
risks. They must be disposed of according to applicable regulations.
• Before plugging in the appliance, ensure that the details on the identification plate (power, etc...)
correspond to those of your power supply. This appliance must be connected to a plug point that is
correctly earthed (the manufacturer does not accept any responsibility if this is not adhered to).
Ensure that other high power appliances are not connected to the same power point in order to
avoid overloading and fire risks. The use of adaptors, multiple plug points or extensions is
generally not advisable; if it is necessary to use them, they must conform with safety regulations
and the total current (amps) must not be rated lower than the maximum current of the the appliance.
The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility if this safety norm is not adhered to.
• The appliance must not be placed directly beneath a plug point.
The plug point must be easily accessible so as to easily remove the plug in case of an emergency.
• Before each use, ensure that the appliance is in good order, that the power cable is not damaged: if
you have any doubts, consult a qualified professional.
• Ensure that the power cable is correctly positioned and does not come into contact with hot parts or
sharp edges, or become wound around the appliance itself, pass underneath the grill, is not twisted
and does not snag, in order to prevent the appliance from falling.
• Position the appliance:
- far from other heat sources (e.g. ovens, gas stoves etc.), flammable materials (tapestries, etc.),
explosive materials (spray cans) and materials that can become deformed with heat; ensure that
there is at least 50cm of free space around the appliance.
- on a horizontal surface that is stable and heat resistant, on a surface that is not delicate (e.g.
lacquered surfaces, table cloths etc), where it will not be bumped and is sufficiently far from the
edge of the furniture to prevent the appliance from falling.
- far from containers holding liquids (e.g. a sink). If the appliance should inadvertently become
wet or submerged in a liquid, unplug the appliance immediately, allow it to cool down, dry it
carefully and ensure that the electrical parts are not wet; if you have any doubts, consult a
qualified professional.
• The user must not leave the appliance unattended when it is connect to the power supply.
• If the appliance is dusty, it must be cleaned before using it: refer to the "Cleaning and
Maintenance" paragraph.
• This appliance is not to be used with an external timer or with a separate distance control unit. This is
to prevent fire hazards should the appliance be covered or incorrectly positioned.
Copies of the I/B. Please reproduce them without any
changes except under special instruction from Bimar
(Italy). The pages must be reproduced and folded in
order to obtain a booklet A5 (+/- 148.5 mm width x 210
mm height). When folding, make sure you keep the good
numbering when you turn the pages of the I/B. Don't
change the page numbering. Keep the language
integrity.
