1. EQUIPMENT CODES
1.1 Direct entry of control codes with the attached list

Please ensure that you selected the proper code for your TV.
Once the numbers have been entered the lamp goes out and
the remote control is ready to control your appliance.
Finally, test your setting by controlling (in this example) your
television set. If it does not work correctly or at all, set a diffe-
rent code from the list or use the code search (see below).
How to set the remote control for other appliances is described
in part 1.1.2. Instead of the TV appliance button, press another
button, e.g. VCR, DVD, SAT, CD, AUX.
Schwaiger UFB 801 is a TV+ remote control, i.e. under TV you
can only set television sets or video projectors. But you can dedi-
cate any appliance (TV, DVD, SAT...) to the VCR, DVD, SAT,
CD, AUX, AUX1, AUX2 keys. The button labels SAT, DVD,VCR,
etc. are intended only for easier orientation. Example: Under the
VCR appliance button you can also enter a CD code and control
your CD player. You just need to fi nd your appliance brand in
the CD section of the code book. Just enter the fi rst 4 digit code
under the VCR key.
1.2 Automatic code search
If the brand of your appliance is not listed or none of the codes
given fi ts, we recommend a code search.
1.2.1 Slow code search
Switch on the appliance to be controlled.

Each time a button is pressed the lamp goes out briefl y then
comes back on to confi rm. If no button is pressed, the UFB 801
automatically continues to search by sending a signal to your
appliance every 3 seconds. If you notice the reaction of your
appliance too late and the next code has already been emitted
you can go back by pressing PROG▼. If your appliance was
switched off, you must turn it on again, pressing its own "power"
button, or with its original remote control, to continue the search.
