Ⅰ. Set the EXP Pedal as A Wah Tone Pedal
Set one of the On/Off states of EXP1 to turn on the 535 or 847 effect of the FXA block, and control the "Position", it will control the wah
effect like a real classic wah pedal.
When the EXP1 pedal is switched to another state, the FXA block will turn off and the EXP1 controls what is set in the current state,
such as the total volume or the time of the delay.
* EXP2 does not provide On/Off function.
Ⅱ. Set EXP Pedal as A Volume Pedal
The user can set any EXP as a Volume pedal. The position of this volume pedal is at the end of the effect chain, controlling the total output volume, but before the OUTPUT,
XLR, and Headphone output potentiometers. You can set volume control range, with the default being 0 for the MIN and 100 for the MAX.
Ⅲ. EXP2 External Pedal Setting
① The ARENA2000's EXP2 Jack supports the connection of either an external expression pedal or a dual footswitch pedal.
② The EXP2 is set up in the same way as the EXP, but the EXP2 has only one state and does not support On/Off.
③ When the EXP2 is connected to a dual-footswitch pedal, the two footswitches are used as a Bank switches.
④ Finally, press the STORE button to save the settings of your tone, CTRL, and EXP to the preset.
NOTE:
1. Please use the TRS stereo 1/4" connection cable when plugging an external pedal into the EXP2 Jack.
2. The EXP2 Jack will automatically determine whether an expression pedal or a duel footswitch switch pedal is plugged in. If you want to change the pedal type during use,
make sure to connect the cable to the pedal first, and then connect to the EXP2 Jack, so as to accurately identify the pedal type.
3. EXP1 On/Off and EXP2 work together to flexibly control parameters in real-time, but it is recommended not to set more than one pedal state to control the same
parameter, otherwise it will cause confusion.
Ⅳ. EXP Pedal Calibration
① Press the EXP button and enter the "EXP CALIBRATION", then determine the MIN and MAX positions as prompted on the screen.
It must be calibrated before using the external EXP pedal.
② The pressing force of the EXP1 pedal to switch On/Off state can be set on the "EXP CALIBRATION" screen. While holding down
the front end of the pedal with appropriate force, press the Value Knob to confirm the force.
Warning: If the pressing force is too light, the MAX position may trigger the On/Off switch by mistake.
