8.1

Care

WARNING!
Risk of damage from water!

Switch the device off and remove the batteries.
If necessary, wipe the outside only of the monitor and
cuff with a damp cotton cloth. Dampen the cotton cloth
with lukewarm water only, possibly adding a mild
detergent. Never use chemical solvents and
detergents as these could damage the surface of the
monitor.
If, despite this, water enters the monitor, contact your
retailer or the manufacturer without delay.
Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the
monitor for a longer period of time.
8.2

Metrological monitoring

The monitor and cuff are calibrated by the
manufacturer for a period of two years. The
metrological check must be carried out in accordance
with directive 93/42/EEC every two years at the latest
if the device is used professionally. In certain
countries, this requirement may be regulated by
national laws or regulations.
The metrological check is subject to a charge and can
be carried out by I.E.M. GmbH, by a responsible
public authority or by an authorized maintenance
service in accordance with the "Medical Devices
Operator Ordinance".
