Webbing Load Indicator

A fold sewn into the webbing lifeline above the
snap hook serves as the impact indicator. A
warning flag is included and will be exposed
should the lifeline be subjected to fall arresting
forces.
Snap Hook Load Indicator
(See Fig. 9b)
The snap hook load impact indicator is built
into the swivel part of the snap hook. The
swivel eye will elongate and expose a red
area at the location illustrated (see Fig. 9b)
when subjected to fall arrest forces.
Karlstop Load Indicator
(See Fig. 9c)
If the unit has a rebar hook, it may be equipped
with the karlstop fall indicator.

WARNING
When inspection and operational testing
reveals defects in or damage to equip-
ment, inadequate maintenance of equip-
ment, or evidence of equipment having
been exposed to fall arrest forces or
loading, the equipment shall be immedi-
ately removed from service.
Units removed from service, shall be
marked and tagged "UNUSABLE" and
returned for service in accordance with
the manufacturer's instructions. Non-
repairable devices must be disposed of
in a manner to prevent inadvertent fur-
ther use.
6.2 Maintenance

Servicing
Servicing of Honeywell Miller self-retracting
lifelines must only be carried out by Honeywell
Industrial Safety or persons or entities
authorized in writing by Honeywell. A record
log of all servicing and inspection dates for
this device must be maintained. only original
Honeywell replacement parts are approved
for use in this device. Contact your Honeywell
distributor or call Honeywell Technical Service
at 1-800-873-5242 for a return authorization
number.

factory recertification.*

Cleaning and Storage
This device must be kept clean and free of
contaminants. Periodically clean the exterior
of the device and wipe the lifeline using a
damp cloth and mild detergent.
When not in use, equipment shall be stored
in a manner as to preclude damage from
environmental factors, such as temperature,
light, UV, excessive moisture, oil, chemicals
and their vapors, or other degrading elements.
The lifeline should be fully retracted into
the device when not in use.
