• Operating the appliance for any other purpose shall be
deemed a misuse of the device. The user shall be solely liable
for improper use of the device.
Grounding installation
This appliance is classified as protection class I and must be
connected to a protective ground. Grounding reduces the risk
of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric
current.
This appliance is fitted with a power cord with grounding plug
or electrical connections with grounding wire. The connections
must be properly installed and grounded.

Preparation before use
• Remove all protective packaging and wrapping.
• Check that the device is in good condition and with all ac-
cessories. In case of incomplete or damaged delivery, please
contact the supplier immediately. In this case, do not use the
device.
• Clean the accessories and the appliance before use (See ==>
Cleaning & Maintenance).
• Make sure the appliance is completely dry.
• Place the appliance on a horizontal, stable and heat resistant
surface that is safe against water splashes.
• Keep the packaging if you intend to store your appliance in
the future.
• Keep the user manual for future reference.
NOTE! Due to manufacturing residues, the appliance may emit
a light odor during the first few uses. This is normal and does
not indicate any defect or hazard. Make sure the appliance is
well ventilated.
Operating instructions
• Always keep the bottom of the pan clean and dry before put-
ting in the body. Any residues between the bottom of the pan
and the heater will cause the cooker to malfunction.
• Do not attempt to press the switch by force if the switch but-
ton cannot be pressed in the cooking position. The switch
always remains in "keep warming" position when the pan is
not in the cooker or just after cooking has been completed.
• Do not leave the rice scoop or other objects in the inner pan
while cooking or keeping warm function is active.
• The appliance does not function if the pan is not in the cooker.

Detaching of the interception tank:
• Grab both sides of the interception tank and pull.
Attaching of the interception tank:
• Insert the upper edge into the cannelure of the interception
tank and press it on.
After every use the water drop-interception tank should be
detached and emptied!
How to cook rice
1. Measure rice with the measuring cup.
• Wash rice in another bowl until water is relatively clear.
Bran may give an uppleasant odour to cooked rice. Wash
rice thoroughly and quickly to effectively remove the bran.
2. CAUTION! Do not fill rice and water over the 10 cups (or
1.8L) that marked in the inner pan to avoid spillage.
Note: The markings represent the amount of water to be
added in relation to the amount of cups rice to be cooked.
E.g. If you add 10 cups (or 1.8L) of rice in the inner pan, fill
water until the marking "10". For more or less rice, fill wa-
ter according to the markings into the inner pan.
3. Wipe dry & place the pan in the rice cooker. Ensure the
pan is directly in contact with the heating plate by turning it
slightly form the right to the left until it fits properly. (Fig.4
on page 4)
• Wipe dry the outside of the pan before use. A wet pan may
cause cracking noise while cooking and may damage the
unit.
4. Close the lid until it clicks. If the lid is not closed securely
the cooking result will be effected. (Fig.5 on page 4)
5. Attach the power cord to the cooker and then connect it to
the power supply. Press down the switch. The red 'Cooking'
light will light to indicate the start of the cooking process.

6. When the rice is ready, the switch will pop up. 'The Keep
Warm' indicator will light up to indicate that the 'Keep
Warm function' has started.
7. After the switch button pops up: leave the lid for at least 15
minutes on the appliance to steam the rice. The rice will be
fluffier. (Fig.7 on page 5)
8. Press the button for opening the lid and then open the lid.
9. Scoop and mix the rice well with the supplied scoop or a
wooden or plastic scoop. Do not use metal scoop.
10. After taking some rice, close the lid and keep the rice warm.
If you want the rice to cool down a little, open the lid and
unplug the power cord from the power outlet to leave the
rice for cooling in the inner pan.
11. This rice cooker is suitable for up to maximum 10 cups (180
ml) of dry rice.
ATTENTION! During the cooking process, hot steam escapes
from the steam vent. DANGER OF SCALDING! Do not cover the
appliance during use with a cloth or other objects.
