Installation
•
The adjustable sleeve must be screwed in at least as far as the minimum insertion depth
l
of the spindle (Fig. 1).
2
•
The leveling foot must be installed with an open-end wrench and brought to the appro
priate position. To avoid seizing, a small amount of a suitable grease (we recommend
grease for hygienic applications) must be applied to the spindle thread before
installation. Excess grease that is still visible after installation must be wiped away and
completely removed.
Note: The surfaces of the leveling feet must not be damaged. We therefore recommend
using a suitable tool with protective inserts.

The minimum insertion depth l
maximum insertion depth is equal to the sum of l

The equipment can now be lowered and the leveling foot placed on the floor or the wall.
If the leveling foot is fastened to the floor or the wall, make sure to use appropriate seals
and screws that comply with the hygiene standard (see above). The screws must be
tightened with the applicable torque, depending on the fastening method and manufac-
turer information, but no less than 30 Nm. This ensures that the seal is in firm contact
with the floor or other support surface.
•
Now the equipment can be leveled by screwing the spindle in or out (A/F
of pocket holes, ensure that the adjustable sleeve remains loose to prevent locking.
•
If an installation and tightening situation arises in which the wrench flats are perfectly
horizontal (e.g. use as a wall support) in a way that does not allow water to flow off on
its own, the wrench flats must be turned to an incline of at least 3°. First loosen the
adjustable sleeve enough that the wrench flat A/F

If it is not possible to avoid horizontal wrench flats in this way, the corresponding
surfaces must be checked for any residual liquid after the last rinsing step of the
cleaning or disinfection process, and manually cleaned, if necessary.

Locking
•
After successful leveling, the adjustable sleeve must be tightened with an appropriately
sized open-end wrench (A/F
sleeve rests directly against the machine housing (metallic stop).
•
It is essential to ensure that the wiper is on the smooth, cylindrical part of the spindle
and not in the area of the thread (observe the min./max. insertion depth).

Attachment to the machine
•
When screwing the leveling foot into a closed profile or a pocket hole, no further steps
are required. The thread is protected from penetrating dirt by a sealing ring.
•
If the leveling foot is screwed into an open profile or a pass-through hole, a cover
sleeve must be used to ensure that the threaded spindle on the back side of
the pass-through hole is covered in a hygienic way (Fig. 3). For this, we recommend a
cover sleeve GN 20.1. After leveling, this must be installed such that the thread is sealed
in and there is no dead space. The requirements specified for the mounting surface in
section 2 also apply for the contact surface of the sleeve.
