A. Activate/Deactivate the detector
The device is deactivated by default before leaving our factory. Before
the detector can be used, it must be activated.
Power on: Press and hold the test button (= centre front of detector)
until the red LED indicator lights up and a beep sounds; this takes at

least 10 seconds. After you release the test button the detector is activated and can be used.
Power off: Press and hold the test button (= centre front of detector) until the red LED indicator
lights up twice and a beep sounds twice; this takes at least 10 seconds. After you release the test
button the detector is deactivated and cannot be used.
CAUTION
The installation instructions must be followed strictly to avoid unsafe conditions.
Do not paint your detector.
The battery cannot be replaced; do not try to replace the battery as this will render the
detector unuseable and can cause a fire due to the high-capacity lithium battery.
B. Test your alarm
Test the detector to ensure proper operation
by pressing the test button (= centre front of
detector). The alarm will sound if the
detector is working well. If there is no sound,
refer to the "Trouble shooting" section.
