Unguarded grinders cannot protect operator for
exploding grinding wheels or accidental contact with
the grinding wheels.
• Do not operate the grinder with out a proper guard
properly installed! Do not remove the guard for any
reason!. If the guard becomes damaged, replace it
immediately!
Exploding grinding wheels or accidental contact with
rotating grinding wheels can cause injury.
Rotating grinding wheels can cause cuts and
abrasions.
• Keep hands and other body parts away from grinding
wheels to prevent cutting or pinching. Wear protective
clothing and gloves to protect hands.
Contact with rotating grinding wheels can cause
injury.
Using damaged and incorrect cut off accessories can
cause flying particles.
• Do not use chipped, cracked, damaged or unbalanced
cut off accessories.
• Use elastic cushioning layers if they have been
supplied with the abrasive and required.
• Observe the specifications of the tool or accessory
manufacturer. Protect the discs from grease, impact,
and other damage.
• Grinder discs must be stored and handled in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• If accessories with threaded inserts are used, the end
of the spindle may not touch the base of the hole on the
grinding tool. Make sure that the thread in the
accessory is long enough to accommodate the full
length of the spindle. The thread in the accessory must
match the thread on the spindle. See the specifications
for the spindle length and thread.
• Use of guard is required.
Flying particles can cause injury.
Force on the side of cut off discs can break them.
• Do not grind on the side of a cut off disc.
Broken cut off disc can cause injury.
Grinding metals creates sparks that can ignite
flammable materials and vapors.
• Only grind metals if the area is free of combustible or
explosive materials or vapors.
Explosions and fire can cause injury.

Battery Pack Safety
Messages
Risk of explosion or fire.
• Do not store the tool and battery in locations where the
temperature may reach or exceed 120°F (49°C).
• CTC131/CTCA131/CTCEU131/CTCJ131 chargers will
not charge battery when temperature is below 32°F
(0°C) or above 113°F (45°C).
• Do not incinerate the battery, even if severely damaged
or completely exhausted. The battery may explode in
fire.
• Cover the battery pack terminals with heavy adhesive
tape after removing the battery pack.
• Do not attempt to destroy or disassemble the battery
pack or remove any of its components.
• Do not charge battery pack using an engine generator
or DC power source.
• Charge battery pack in a well ventilated area.
Explosion or flames can cause injury.
Risk of electric shock.
• Do not disassemble the battery.
• Do not short circuit the battery.
• Charge battery pack only with Snap-on brand chargers
for specified battery packs.
• Disconnect battery pack when not in use, before
servicing and when changing accessories.
• Do not charge battery pack using an engine generator
or DC power source.
Electric shock or fire can cause injury.
Risk of burn.
• Battery leakage may occur under conditions of extreme
usage or temperature.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
• Ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting
battery pack. Inserting the battery pack into power tools
that have the switch on invites accidents.
• When battery pack is not in use, do not place it in a
clothing pocket. Battery leakage or sparks may cause
burns or fire.
