This equipment, due to unique limitations due to peak current, may not be suitable for equipment
with active PFC (active power factor correction). Please check in advance the type of power
supply installed your PC/Server.
INSTALLATION
PACKAGE CONTENTS
Make sure that you have the following items: UPS, schuko cable, Rack Kit, Manual, Warranty. If any of the above
items are missing, please contact your reseller.
INSTALLATION
Follow all instructions carefully during installation. Read the entire manual carefully before starting to install the
device. Keep this manual for future reference.
1. PLACEMENT and RACK MOUNTING
To prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, install in a temperature and humidity controlled indoor area, free of
conductive contaminants.
This UPS system is designed for indoor use only.
Do not install the UPS under direct sunlight. Your warranty will be void if the batteries fail due to overheating.
Install in a temperature and humidity controlled indoor area
Fix the brackets to the product using the appropriate screws and then attach them to the Rack cabinet structure.
The Rack Kit included consists of 2 brackets and 8 screws for fixing these to the UPS structure.
2. MAINS CONNECTION AND BATTERY CHARGING
Connect the UPS to a wall outlet using the cable included in the package. Avoid the use of extension cords and
adapters. We recommend charging the battery for at least 8 hours to ensure that it is fully charged. To recharge the
battery, simply the power cable must be plugged into a wall outlet. To maintain optimum battery charge, the UPS
must be connected to a wall outlet at all times, as this UPS can be charged even when it is not switched on.
3. LOAD CONNECTION
Connect loads to the outputs (located on the rear and front panel) of the UPS. All outputs are in backup/protection
mode and therefore protect the load and supply it when the mains power fails. It is recommended to connect a load
not exceeding 80-85% of the maximum allowed value (in Watts) to the device. Only connect your computer, monitor
and any externally powered data storage device (hard disk, tape drive, etc.) to the sockets when the UPS is switched
off and disconnected. Do not connect a laser printer, copier, heater, hoover, shredder or other large electrical devices
to the UPS. The power requirements of these devices will overload and may damage the unit.

STARTUP and TEST
Mains Mode(AC Mode)
The UPS supplies power to all connected load by filtering the power grid and maintains the battery charge.
Battery Mode(On-Battery Mode)
The UPS operates using the battery when the mains voltage is out of tolerance or when it is completely absent (black
out). Visual and audible indicators signal this mode of operation. The UPS powers the load, using battery power,
producing an approximate sinusoidal output voltage.
1.
Power On/Off : Press, a couple of seconds, to turn the device on/off. The LED lights up and a double beep
sounds. The loads are now energized (see points 3 and 4 in the previous picture) [Optional] You can check the
correct operation of the battery mode by disconnecting, with ups on, the mains connection cable. The LED will
start flashing and beeping while the load is properly powered. Connect the power cord back to the mains to
restore normal operation. The beep can be muted by installing the control SW (UPS Setting->Configuration and
setting Utility Power Failure Alarm=Disabled).
2.
Cold Start/Start on Battery: It is possible to turn on the UPS in case of power failure and directly power the
load. This "DC-Start/Cold-Start" feature requires the connected load to be less than 80% of the maximum load (it
is important to turn on all peripherals first and the UPS last. In fact, the load must remain constant).
MAINTENANCE and STORAGE
MAINTENANCE
To clean the panel and plastic parts, use soft, dry cloths. Do not use cleaning agents containing alcoholic
substances.
Unplug the UPS from the power outlet if the UPS will not operate for an extended period of time.
STORAGE
First turn off the UPS and unplug the power cord from the power outlet. Disconnect all cables connected to the UPS
to avoid draining the battery.
The UPS should be stored in a cool, dry place.
Ensure that the battery is fully charged before storing the UPS.
For prolonged storage in moderate climates, the battery must be charged for 12 hours every 3 months by plugging
the power cord into the wall socket and turning on the main button. Repeat this every 2 months if the UPS is stored
in a high temperature location.
