6.6
Paper filter bag
Not suitable for wet vacuuming.
Open the latching fasteners (11) and remove the
upper part (6) from the container (10).
On the inside of the suction
opening, push the red rotary
slide with its "triangle"
marking upwards. (To twist
the slide, push it slightly towards the suction hose,
and pull it back after twisting).
Hold the paper bag filter (12) on the flange and,
with its opening, guide it first over the latch at the
bottom part of the suction opening (9) then fit up to
the stop on the suction opening.
The paper filter bag increases the dust retention
capacity, increases the service life of the filter
cartridges and enables for hygienic disposal.
Use the paper filter bag for dry vacuuming only.
6.7
PE filter bag
Suitable for wet and dry vacuuming.
Open the latching fasteners (11) and remove the
upper part (6) from the container (10).
On the inside of the suction
opening, push the red rotary
slide with its "circle" marking
upwards. (To twist the slide,
push it slightly towards the suction hose, and pull
it back after twisting).
Hold the PE filter bag (13) on the flange and, with
its opening, guide it first over the latch at the
bottom part of the suction opening (9) then fit up to
the stop on the suction opening.
Spread out the PE filter bag (13) evenly across the
container floor. Arrange the edges of the PE filter
bags around the container rim so that the PE filter
bag is firmly clamped by the upper part (6) on all
sides.
7 Cleaning
Clean the container and accessories with water.
Wipe the upper part (6) with a damp cloth.
Allow the filter, container and accessories to dry so
that no dust is able to adhere to otherwise damp
components.
Before doing any wet vacuuming remove the dry
vacuumed material. Doing this will avoid intense
soiling and encrustation.

8 Servicing
If the suction power decreases, take the following
action:
1. Clean the filter cartridges by switching off the
electromagnetic vibrator.
2. Empty the container or replace the paper filter
bag or the PE filter bag.
3. Renew the filter cartridges (15)
Prior to changing the filter, dedust the filter
cartridges (15) again.
Use a coin or a similar object to turn the locking
knob (8) on the locking bar (7) counter-clockwise
through 90° and push the bar (7) to the rear.
Hinge the hood up and take out the filter cartridges
(15) upwards.
Put new filter cartridges back in, ensuring that the
filters are firmly and cleanly seated.
From time to time the motor protection filter (14)
must be cleaned.
To do so, take the filter out of the motor housing.
Wash the filter in flowing water and allow it to dry.
Re-insert the filter.
Remove any contamination.
Hinge the hood back down and press it shut.
Clean the water sensor regularly and check it for
signs of damage.
Any other maintenance work is to be carried out by
the Metabo service centre.
9 Troubleshooting
Reduction in suction power:
• Filter soiled - clean
