immediately turn the machine off with the power switch, disconnect the batteries and hand it
over to an authorised service centre. Although precautions have been taken during the ma-
chine's engineering and design and considering that the guidelines in this manual have been
followed, there is still a residual risk in terms of exposure to vibration and noise. Therefore,
use personal protective equipment, do not work too long, and take regular breaks. Make
sure that the batteries have been disconnected from the machine before carrying out its
maintenance. Keep the machine out of reach of unauthorised persons, especially children.
Make sure that the machine is out of the reach of unauthorised persons, especially children,
also during operation.
PRODUCT OPERATION
Preparing for operation
Unpack the product by removing all packaging components. It is recommended not to dispose of the packaging as it may be useful
for later storage of the product. Check all parts of the product for damage. Check the nozzle for any obstructions in the air inlet
and outlet. Warning! Make sure that the product is turned off during assembly i.e. the power switch is in the off position, and the
batteries are not connected to the machine's socket.
Product assembly
Ensure that the device is disconnected from the power supply.
Install the air duct to the air outlet in the blower housing. To do this, press and hold the pipe lock button, then slide the pipe onto the
blower air outlet, release the button (II). The locking latch should hit the hole on the nozzle. Ensure that the connection is properly
locked. The nozzle (III) should be fi tted to the blower pipe. There are arrow markings on the nozzle and the blower tube. Hold the
pipe with one hand. Slide the nozzle onto the blower pipe with the other hand and turn it counterclockwise. Correctly connected
pieces should have arrows facing each other. Ensure that the connection is properly locked. A properly assembled blower can only
be dismantled by following the steps in reverse order of assembly.
Carrying strap
On the blower housing, there are two support belt attachment clamps. The belt clip should be attached to the clamp so that
the hitch lock secures the machine against accidental detachment during operation. The belt should be worn so that it rests
on one shoulder and then diagonally wraps around the operator's chest, allowing the tool to be hooked at hip level (IV).
Connecting the blower to the power supply (V)
The tool is powered by two batteries. The tool will not start up if one of the batteries is not mounted in the tool or is discharged.
The batteries in the tool are connected in series, which means that the tool is supplied with the sum of their rated voltages. It is
recommended that both batteries have the same capacity and are charged to the same level. The batteries used to supply the
tool should also have the same level of wear. It is not recommended to connect a fl at battery with a new one, even if both batter-
ies are charged to the same level and have the same capacity. Failure to comply with the above recommendations will result in
shorter operating times and faster wear of the batteries used to supply the tool. Slide the battery into one of the seats so that its
latch is outside the seat. Slide the battery into the seat until the latch engages. Repeat for the second battery. Make sure that the
batteries will not disconnect on its own during operation. Disconnect the battery by pressing and holding the latch and then pulling
the battery out of the seat.
Only the following 18V Li-Ion YATO batteries can be used to power the tool: YT-82842, YT-82843, YT-82844 and YT-82845, which
can only be charged with YATO YT-82848 or YT-82849 chargers. It is forbidden to use other batteries with a diff erent rated voltage
and not matching the tool battery socket. It is forbidden to modify the socket or battery to make them match.
Blower activation (VI)
Ensure that the batteries are connected to the blower. Grasp the product by the handle, make sure that neither the air inlet nor the
air outlet is obstructed. Direct the nozzle outlet so that the airfl ow is not directed at any person, animal or object. Start the product
by pressing the switch located on the control panel with your fi nger. Pressing the switch will start the blower. There are lights on
the control panel indicating the approximate state of charge of the batteries will light up: Red, orange, green – battery charged.
Red, orange – battery partially charged. Red – battery needs charging. Once started, the blower operates with its weakest blowing
force. To increase the blowing force, press the blowing force adjustment button on the control panel marked with an upward arrow.
To reduce the blowing force, press the blowing force adjustment button on the control panel marked with a down arrow. Each
single press of the increase or decrease button increases or decreases the blowing force by one degree.
A change in the blowing force is indicated by the lights lighting up, the more lights lit up, the higher the blowing force. To switch off
the blower, press your fi nger on the switch, wait until the operation of the machine is completely stopped, disconnect the machine
