5. Ease the saw blade down and out of the guard.
If necessary, the mounting flange can be removed for cleaning.

Installing the saw blade 5,
Check that the blade to be fitted complies with the technical requirements and that it is well sharpened.
A sharp saw blade is an essential requirement for a perfect cut.
Before every use, always select the saw blade that is suitable for the material you are going to cut.
1. Bring the plunge unit to the installation position. → page 29
2. Clean the mounting flange and the clamping flange (1).
3. Slip the mounting flange right way round on to the arbor.
4. Insert the new saw blade (2).
▶ Note the direction-of-rotation arrows on the saw blade (3) and on the guard (4). Both direction-of-
rotation arrows must point in the same direction.
5. Install the clamping flange the right way round.
6. Install the clamping screw.
7. Press and hold down the spindle lock button (5).
8. Use the hex key to tighten the clamping screw (6).
Use the direction-of-rotation arrow for guidance: To tighten the clamping screw, turn it opposite
to the direction of rotation of the saw blade.
9. Check that the saw blade is seated correctly.
10. Hold the product by the main grip.
11. Set the latching lever to the basic position and swivel the plunge unit back to the basic position (7).
12. Close the installation flap for saw blade installation.

Movable dust shield window
For optimum dust and chip extraction, always position the dust shield window as near as possible to the
workpiece.
5.9
Adjusting the cutting depth
The cutting depth should always be set to a depth approx. 5 to 10 mm greater than the thickness of
the material to be cut.
1. Press and hold down the release for the cutting depth adjustment (1).
2. Push the slider to the required cutting depth (2).
▶ The cutting depth indicator has separate indicators for cuts with guide rail (3) and cuts without guide
rail (4).
3. Let go of the release for the cutting depth adjustment.

Setting cutting angle for bevel cuts
Avoid different angle settings front and rear by not applying pressure to the auxiliary handle or the
saw while tightening. If the angle settings differ it is not possible to make a straight cut.
1. Slacken the 2 clamping screws of the cutting angle adjustment (1).
2. Swivel the product to the desired bevel cutting angle .
▶ If you want to set an angle of -1° or greater than 45° (up to maximum 47°), press and hold down the
release button (2).
3. Tighten one of the two clamping screws of the cutting angle adjustment.
4. Tighten the opposing securing screw of the cutting angle adjustment.
