Usage
1.
Plug one end of the testing cable to а corresponding port on the transmitter (RJ45 MAIN port for a network cable, BNC connector for a
coaxial cable) and leave the other cable end disconnected. To connect a telephone cable, use the telephone adapter (included).
2.
Select Length (Length) in the main menu and press the OK button (8).
3.
Choose the required cable type (CAT5, CAT6, or BNC).
Select Start (Start) and press the OK button (8).

Cable tracing
This function is used to locate the target cable in a cable bundle.
Network cable tracing
1.
Plug the loose of the cable into the RJ45 SCAN port (12) on the transmitter.
2.
Select SCAN (Cable tracing) in the main menu and press the OK button (8).
3.
Place the receiver near the cable bundle and move the receiver along the cable to trace it. When the sensor is in the close proximity to
the target cable, the receiver will emit a beeping sound. To detect the cable more accurately, lower the sensitivity. The closer the device
is to the object, the louder the signal will be.
PoE cable tracing
1.
Plug the loose end of the cable to the RJ45 SCAN port (12) on the transmitter.
2.
Select SCAN (Cable tracing) in the main menu, press the OK button (8) twice to switch to the PoE scan mode to trace a PoE cable
connected to a PoE source equipment (such as a network switch, router, etc.).
3.
Place the receiver near the cable bundle and move the receiver sensor along the cable to trace it. When the sensor is in the close
proximity to the target cable, the receiver will emit a beeping sound. To detect the cable more accurately, lower the sensitivity.
The closer the device is to the object, the louder the signal will be.
Electrical cable tracing
1.
Use the alligator clip wire to connect the loose end of the testing electrical cable to the transmitter. The cable must be de-energized.
Plug the BNC-RJ11 adapter cable into the BNC connector (1) on the transmitter and then plug the other end of the BNC-RJ11 adapter
cable into the telephone adapter (included). Plug the alligator clip wire into the other side of the telephone adapter. Clamp the black
alligator clip on the black wire and the red alligator clip on the red wire of the testing electrical cable.

Select SCAN (Cable tracing) in the main menu and press the OK button (8).

Place the receiver near the cable bundle and move the receiver sensor along the cable to trace it. When the sensor is in the close
proximity to the target cable, the receiver will emit a beeping sound. To detect the cable more accurately, lower the sensitivity.

Coaxial cable tracing
1.
Plug the loose of the BNC cable into the BNC connector (1) of the transmitter.
Select SCAN (Cable tracing) in the main menu and press the OK button (8).

Plug one end of a telephone cable to the telephone adapter (included) and connect the telephone adapter to the BNC-RJ11 adapter
cable (included). Plug the BNC-RJ11 adapter cable to the BNC connector (1) of the transmitter. The other end of the telephone cable is
connected to a telephone.

Select SCAN (Cable tracing) in the main menu and press the OK button (8).

Telephone line status test
This function is used to detect the telephone line status.
1.
Plug one end of a telephone cable to the telephone adapter (included) and connect the telephone adapter to the BNC-RJ11 adapter
cable (included). Plug the BNC-RJ11 adapter cable to the BNC connector (1) of the transmitter. The other end of the telephone cable is
connected to a telephone.
2.
Select TEL (Telephone line) in the main menu, select Tel status (Telephone line status), and press the OK button (8).

Polarity test
This function is used to define the polarity of wires.
1.
Plug one end of a telephone cable to the telephone adapter (included) and connect the telephone adapter to the BNC-RJ11 adapter cable
(included). Plug the BNC-RJ11 adapter cable to the BNC connector (1) of the transmitter. Use the telephone adapter or the wire with
alligator clips to connect the telephone cable wires. The other end of the telephone cable is connected to a telephone.
