1. Before using your new appliance, remove all packing material.
2. Wash the frying basket and the frying vessel inner surface with warm soapy water. Rinse
and dry thoroughly.
3. Place the appliance on a flat, level, heat-resistant surface and away from flammable
objects such as curtains or a tablecloth.
4. With the deep fryer ON/OFF switch set to the OFF position ("O") and the arrow on the dial
pointing to OFF, insert the power cord into unit socket, pushing firmly until it goes no further.
1. Press the OPEN button to open the lid.
2. Place all washed accessories back in the deep fryer base. Ensure the arrows on the frying
vessel matches the arrow on the deep fryer base and the frying vessel is pushed down far
enough.
3. Press the button on the frying basket handle to extend the handle when cooking and to
fold the handle when unit is not in use.
4. Pour the appropriate amount of oil into the frying vessel and close the lid.
Note: The oil in the frying vessel must not be lower than the minimum line or higher than
the maximum line.
5. Plug the power cord into wall outlet. Then turn the ON/OFF switch to set the ON position
("I").
6. The red (POWER) indicator light will turn on.
Note: If the red (POWER) and green (READY) indicator lights do not turn on, the frying
vessel is incorrectly positioned on the base. Check to make sure that the arrows on the
frying vessel matches the arrow on the deep fryer base and adjust or push the frying
vessel down if necessary.
7. Turn the dial clockwise to the desired cooking temperature.
8. Once preheating is complete and the oil has reached the set temperature, the green
(READY) indicator light will turn on.
9. Press the OPEN button to open the lid. Place the food into the frying basket. Slowly lower
the frying basket into the oil.
10. Close the lid to prevent oil splashes.
11. The viewing window on the lid allows you to check on the frying progress without opening
the lid.
Note: During the frying process, the green (READY) indicator light may turn on and off
several times. This indicates that the appliance is turning the heating plate on and off in
order to maintain the cooking temperature at the selected level.
Note: The deep fryer may emit a large amount of steam at the beginning of the first
cooking process. This is due to the water content of the food and water on the surface of
the food.
Caution: Be careful, as steam may escape from the gap between the lid and the frying
vessel. The steam is hot.
