Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges. Repairs to electric pumps may only be carried out by authorised
specialists. Incorrectly carried out repairs can create a serious hazard for the user.
Damage that may result from pump faults must be prevented by appropriate measures (e.g. installation of an alarm unit
or standby pump). The manufacturer accepts no liability in this respect. If the pump is permanently installed on rigid
pipes, we recommend fitting a non-return valve to ensure that no water can flow back into the pump. Submersible pumps
with a connection cable of less than 10m can only be used internally; with a cable of 10m or more, they can also be used
externally.
The pump shaft must have minimum dimensions of 40×40×50cm, so that the float switch can move freely.
Your new submersible pump is fitted with an anti-shock plug in accordance with regulations. The pump is designed to
be connected to a 230V~50Hz safety socket. Make sure that the socket is sufficiently secure (min.6 Amp.) and that it is
in excellent condition. Insert the plug into the socket and the pump is ready to operate.
Note!
If the main cable or plug is damaged by external action, the cable must not be repaired.
You must never install the pump by hanging it unsupported from its discharge pipe or power cable.
The submersible motor must be suspended from the handle provided or placed at the bottom of the shaft.
To ensure that the pump operates correctly, the bottom of the shaft must be kept free of mud and dirt of any kind.
If the water lever is pushed in too far, the sludge in the shaft quickly dehydrates and prevents the pump from starting. It
is therefore necessary to check the submersible motor pump regularly (by carrying out start-up tests).
The float is set so that the pump can start immediately.
Applications
This pump is mainly used as a cellar pump. When installed in a hole, this pump offers protection against flooding.
It is also used whenever water needs to be moved from one place to another, for example in the home, garden,
horticulture, plumbing and many other applications.
Getting started
-
Once you have read these instructions carefully, you can start up your pump, bearing in mind the following
points:
-
Check that the pump is resting on the ground.
-
Check that the pressure cord has been correctly attached.
-
Check that the electrical connection is 230V~50Hz.
-
Check that the plug is in good condition.
-
Make sure that water and moisture can never get onto the mains supply.
-
Avoid the pump running dry.
Use
-
Before using the pump for the first time, attach a sufficiently long and strong rope to the pump handle. This rope
