INSTRUCTION MANUAL VOSS.FARMING IMPULS
N OTI CE
Do not use multimeters to check the voltage. These are not suitable for the high
voltages generated by the electric fence energiser. Use specialist voltmeters, such
as type 44700 or 44876, to test the voltage.

CONNECTING THE DEVICE AND SWITCHING IT ON
1. Unscrew the two terminal nuts (5 and 6).
2. Connect the ground connector (5) to the grounding post using the ground connection cable
supplied. Follow the tips in section 6.4 to ensure proper grounding.

WAR N I N G AGAIN ST E LE CTRICA L VOLTAGES
Only insert the connection plug into properly installed sockets, in order to prevent
the risk of a short circuit or electric shock. The socket used must be equipped
with a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB).
6. Press and hold the On/off button (4) for more than 2 seconds to switch the energiser on.
The energiser is switched on and ready for operation.
WARN I N G
Heat build‑up may result in smouldering. The device must not be covered by
materials etc. during operation as this may lead to a build‑up of heat and possibly
to a fire. Therefore, do not install the device in areas where there is a risk of fire
(e.g. hay and straw stores).

THE RIGHT GROUNDING
WAR N I N G AGA IN ST E LE CTRICAL VO LTAGES
»
Follow the safety instructions concerning location and installation when
grounding the fence (see section 2.2).
»
Maintain a distance of 10 m to other grounded systems (e.g. protective earthing
of the power supply system or the earthing of a telecommunications system).
»
To prevent possible damage, ensure that animals or other people cannot
access the grounding. However, the grounding must be accessible for any
maintenance tasks required.
It is extremely important that the fence is properly grounded. With optimal grounding, the energiser
can operate at its maximum capacity and ensure that your fence provides the best possible security.
∙
Where possible, select a damp area with vegetation for the grounding.
∙
Use galvanised metal posts for the grounding posts. They must be at least 50 cm long (e.g.
item no. 44214).
