How to ride
Hold the handlebars with two hands. Place one foot on the front end of deck and
use the other foot to push the Space Scooter® forwards to make some initial
speed. Then place your other foot on the rear end of the deck. Push the deck up
and down in a teeter-totter motion to propell forward. You will need to have
some initial speed. Starting from a stand-still position is more difficult.
For enhanced cornering, lean slightly into the direction of the turn. For controlled
stops, gently grasp the brake to slow down. Do not grasp brake handle
suddenly. We recommend that you practice applying the brake at various
speeds and in an open area free from any obstructions before riding your Space
Scooter®.
WARNING: Riding the scooter in an incorrect way may cause risk of falling
down and damaging of the scooter.
a)
Do not step feet exceed the front end of deck.
b)
Do not step feet exceed the rear end of deck.
c)
Riding from steps is forbidden.

Maintenance
1. Check flywheel and add ball bearing oil
Checking the flywheel before riding. If you hear a noise, just apply ball bearing
oil to the gaps between the flywheels and bearing. We recommend that you
apply ball bearing oil every month to ensure a smooth ride.
2. Large brake adjustments:
2.1.
Loosen the brake cable nut.
2.2.
Draw the brake cable to a suitable position.
2.3.
Tighten the cable nut.
3. How to keep your Space Scooter® in optimal condition.
Here you will find a few practical tips to keep your SpaceScooter running smoothly.
A chain is handled with chain spray – this is a dry lubrication and ensures
1.
you that no dirt attracts to the chain. We recommend not to use any
decrease or silicone spray.
1.1.
If decided to clean the chain with a decreasing substance. Please re
add chain spray, or any proper chain maintenance product.
1.2.
If the chain becomes rusty. Then you can clean the chain, dry it off
and then lubricate the chain with chain spray or any proper chain
maintenance product.
2.
The ball bearings and flywheels can also be greased with ball bearing
grease instead of oil. To do this, you need to disassemble the rear wheel.
3.
Regularly make sure all parts of the Space Scooter are fasten tight. The
rubber knobs under the tray shelf can get loose by vibrations. Therefore it is
important that you regularly check everything to see if it's still in place and
fastened tight. Although the Space Scooter is put together with the utmost
care, we cannot avoid parts getting loose due to vibration. To ensure screws
will stay tight, you can use a product such as Loctite.
WARNING: Properly inspect the Space Scooter® before each use for wear and
tear. And follow up all instructions to avoid risk of serious injury.
