Troubleshooting

Solution
• Double-check the spark. Remove the motor cover. Remove the spark
plug from the cylinder.
Connect the spark plug cable and place it onto the motor cylinder with the
metallic part touching the motor. Pull the starter and watch the spark in the
spark plug electrode. If there is no spark, try again using a new spark plug.
• Press the primer bulb until the fuel is visible in the bulb. If fuel is not
visible, it means the fuel supply primary system is blocked. Contact a
Authorized Service Center.
If the primer bulb gets filled with fuel, it means the motor is flooded.
• With the switch off, remove the spark plug. Set the choke lever into the
" " position and pull the choke handle 15 to 20 times to eliminate
excessive fuel in the motor. Clean the spark plug and reinstall. Follow the
normal start process (see page 7). If the motor is not starting, set the
choke lever into the " " position and repeat the starting process. If
after these procedures, the motor is still not starting, repeat the procedure
using a new spark plug.
