Switching ON/OFF (G)
! Before connecting the power tool to the mains, al-
ways make sure that the switch (5) properly works and
returns into its switched-off position after release.
! To turn the equipment on, first press the release but-
ton (4) and the press the switch (5).
To stop the power tool, release the switch (5).
Use of Parallel Stop
Mount the parallel stop using a fixing screw on the
equipment.
Release the locking nut and adjust the requested
width. Tighten the locking nut. Make sure that the
plane is directed by the side contact pressure.
Use of Rebate Depth Stop
♦ Mount the rebate depth stop by the fixing screw on
the equipment.
♦ Adjust the requested rebate depth using a rebate
depth stop.
♦ Perform several planing operations until the request-
ed rebate depth is reached.
Planing in General (J)
Adjust the plane for the requested cutting depth. Grasp
the front handle with your left hand, grasp the rear han-
dle with your right hand and lay the front part of the
plane on the edge of the surface you are going to work
on. Make sure that the blades are not in contact with
the work surface. Press the holder so that the front
plane part was parallel with the work surface. Start
the plane and allow the motor to reach its maximum
speed. Hold the plane firmly and move it on the work
surface by a slow and stable movement. When your
reach the end of cutting, relieve the pressure applied
on the rear handle. This will help you to maintain the
rear plane part in contact with the work surface and
simultaneously prevent the front part to deepen the
cut. The cutting speed and depth determine the result.
Work at such rate to prevent plane jamming by wood
fractions.
Beware of any nails or other foreign objects. When
planing, avoid such objects since the blades could be
damaged or could result in a serious injury. We recom-
mend to always have spare blades at disposal. If the
blades become blunt, replace them immediately.
Warning: During planing, always hold the plane in both
hands. This will help you to retain control and you will
avoid possible serious injuries. The work surface must
be properly supported and firmly clamped so that both
hands were free and could operate the plane safely.
Bevelling (K, M)
The plane is equipped with grooves for bevelling of
edges on the front guide side. These grooves are used
as an aid for bevelling of plank edges.
Before planing, test the operation on a piece of waste
wood to determine and verify the correct planing depth.
Clamp the processed wood into a vice to prevent its
uncontrolled movement during planing. Grasp the
front handle firmly by your left hand, the rear handle by
your right hand and lay the groove for bevelling on the
work surface. Start the plane and allow the motor to
reach its maximum speed, then move it slowly on the
work surface. Maintain moderate pressure to allow the
plane to move on the whole work surface horizontally.
