Carbons
Warning: Before replacing carbons, always make sure
that the plane is switched off and the power cable is
disconnected from the mains.
! If the plane starts to work slowly or discontinuously,
the carbons may need replacement.
! Replace and check the carbons regularly. Both car-
bons should be replaced at the same time.
! Replace the carbons, if their length has decreased
below 6 mm.
! Keep the carbons clean and loose to move freely in
the holders.
If you want to replace the carbons, remove the motor
cover on the left plane side.
Remove the worn carbons and insert new ones. Re-
install the cover.
Drive Belt Replacement (T, U)
Warning: Before replacing the belt, always make sure
that the plane is switched off and the power cable is
disconnected from the mains.
Wear gloves.
If the belt needs to be replaced, switch off the plane
first. Then disconnect the power tool from the mains,
loosen the screws from the drive belt cover and re-
move the cover. Remove the worn drive belt from the
large belt pulley first, then from the small one.
Install a new belt around the small belt pulley, turn it
slightly and extend it around the large belt pulley.
Re-install the belt cover. Screw in the screws and tight-
en them properly.
Possible Malfunctions
The plane cannot be started - Check the plug and the
fuse, power supply and carbons.
The plane works slowly - Disconnect the plug from the
mains and check if wood shavings are not present on
the blades or around them. Check the carbons.
The plane works unevenly/wrong - Check the blade
adjustment. Check if the blades are sharp, free from
damages.
If you cannot fix these malfunctions, ask an authorized
service centre for assistance.
