Connect the tester to the fuel injector using
the supplied connection pipes, ensuring all
connections are securely fastened.
If possible, place a receptacle on the bottom
of the injector to capture the calibration liquid
that the injector will spray. Avoid contact with
the nozzle.
Turn the valve to pressure the system.
Pump the lever on the tester to build pressure
on the injector.
Wait for pressure to drop.
If the pressure drops, there may be a leak be-
tween the connecting tube and the tester/
injector.
Tighten these connections tightly.
If leaks continue, there may be a leak in the
injector.
Pump the lever and watch the pressure gauge
to observe the pressure at which the injector
nozzle opens.
Compare this pressure to the manufacturer's
specifications.
When the nozzle opens, observe the spray pa-
ttern and compare it with the manufacturer's
specifications.
NOTE: When disconnecting the injector, be
careful to depressurize if there is still pressure
in the tester.
When the check is complete, reconnect all in-
jectors and parts to the vehicle.
Clean the tester.
Change the tank filter if you suspect it is clo-
gged.
