The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full battery capacity, fully
charge the battery in the battery charger before using your power tool for the
first time.
-
A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period of time will only
develop its full capacity after approx. 5 charge/discharge cycles.
-
If the machine cannot run when the on/off switch is pressed, the battery does
not have sufficient capacity and must be charged.
-
Connect the mains plug of the adapter 6 to a mains socket and the adapter plug
7 to the battery 5 on the charging station 8. The battery charge indicator 9 will
now light up. Then insert the battery into the charging station. The battery
charge control indicator shows the charging progress. The indicator lights up
red during the charging process. The battery is fully charged when the indicator
lights up green again.
-
Disconnect the battery charger from the mains supply when not in use for long
periods.

-
Do not incinerate the battery even if it is badly damaged or completely worn
out. The battery may explode in a fire.
-
A small leakage of liquid from the battery cells may occur under extreme
conditions of use or temperature. This does not indicate a failure. However, if
the outer seal is broken and this leakage gets on your skin:
Wash quickly with soap and water.
Neutralise with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar.
