OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
CENTRIFUGAL ELECTRIC PUMP 2PDC SERIES
2. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
1.
Ensure that the voltage, frequency and phase conform to those marked on the nameplate.
2.
The electric pump must be reliably earthed and a highly sensitive earth leakage circuit breaker (IN
30mA) must be installed to avoid the risk of fatal electric shocks in the event of faulty earthing.
3.
All conductors must be installed by professional electricians (holders of electrotechnical skill cer-
tificates issued by the State Administration of Work Safety) in accordance with local standards.
Electric pumps must be earthed.
4.
Damaged various types of connections and power cables must be replaced by the manufacturer,
service technician or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
3. OPERATION
1.
Make sure the shaft rotates freely.
2.
Check the direction of rotation of the motor as indicated on the fan shroud. (If viewed from the end
of the fan shroud, the fan rotation should be clockwise).
3.
Fill the pump and suction pipe through the filler cap, and turn off the outlet valve.
4.
Start the pump and adjust the flow and head through the outlet valve to comply with the pump data.
5.
If the engine does not start or does not deliver water, refer to our troubleshooting guide for possible
problems and consequent actions to take. This information can be found on the following pages.
6.
Turn off the outlet valve before disconnecting the power supply to the pump.
4. MAINTENANCE
7.
Idling will damage the mechanical seal beyond repair.
8.
Frequent starting of the pump is prohibited, the switch must be turned off when the power supply is
suddenly interrupted.
9.
It is not allowed to use the suction valve to adjust the flow rate.
10.
When the water is insufficient, you must stop the pump.
11.
If there is any abnormal noise, please stop the pump and check.
12.
If the pump is not used for a long time or stopped at low temperature, the water should be drained to
avoid damaging the pump body by freezing.
