Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Goldanalytix MagneticScreenScale. With the
MagneticScreenScale you can test the magnetic properties of precious metal objects, especially
coins and bars, and thus check the authenticity of precious metals quickly and non-destructively.
Goldanalytix, established in 2012, is the leading provider of precious metal testing methods in
Germany. With the MagneticScreenScale, we offer a magnetic scale for testing the magnetic
properties of coins and bars made of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. The magnetic scale
enables the differentiation between diamagnetic (e.g. gold and silver) a para- or ferromagnetic
materials. The result is output as a magnetic differential weight. The MagneticScreenScale can
be used to quickly and reliably detect inclusions of tungsten or tungsten alloys in gold bars and
gold coins. The magnetic scale also enables the detection of tantalum counterfeits in 900 / 916
gold coins, for example. The great advantage of the magnetic scale is that it penetrates into the
interior of the test objects and can measure through blisters and capsules.

IMPORTANT:
Testing the magnetic properties with the MagneticScreenScale as the sole testing
method is not sufficient to make an absolutely reliable statement about the authenticity of gold,
silver, platinum, palladium, and other precious metals. Always test with at least one other
testing method (e.g. density measurement) to rule out all possible types of counterfeits.
