Basically applicable:
If the jaws are mounted as shown in Fig. 2, this best suits the clamping of
e.g. pipes with a larger inside diameter as well as solid round materials
with smaller diameters.
The jaw position as in Fig. 3 is selected for clamping larger work pieces.
The chuck is supplied with jaws in the fitting position as shown in Fig. 2.
To reverse or exchange the jaws, please proceed as follows:
Disconnect the mains plug to prevent the machine from starting

up unintentionally.
Use the chuck key to screw out the jaws as far as possible so

that they can be removed from the chuck, see also Fig. 4. A
three-jaw chuck is depicted, but the same also applies to the cen-
trically clamped four-jaw chuck. For chucks with individually ad-
justing jaws, the jaws must be screwed out individually.
Reverse or exchange the jaws and reinsert. During the proce-
-
dure, please pay attention to the identification: Numbers (1, 2, 3 )
have been imprinted on the chuck body and on the jaws!
Screw down the chuck with the chuck key and check the centrici-
-
ty of the jaws. If required, correct the position of the jaws by rein-
serting in the chuck body so that the jaws grip the spiral in the
correct position.
