5 START-UP AND USED
5a start-up
1 – Fit your nozzle in the nozzle-holder rep.1 at the end of the lance
2 – Connect your compressor pipe to Rep. 2 ( minimum 10 mm inside diameter air hose )
3 – Open the air of your compressor.
4 – Screw on support-bracket 3. Then display the required working pressure on the manometer. The vessel is under
pressure.
5 – Take the blast hose in hands and press the remote control handle rep. 4. This handle, located near the nozzle holder, is
based on a air leak out principle that is why, releasing the handle, there is a permanent air leak out at this handle. The
abrasive is blasted.
6 – To stop the sand-blaster, release the remote control handle.
5b used
Humidity of compressed air can be found in the form of condensation by a physical phenomenon caused by the compression
and the expansion of the air. A decanting glass or a filter is placed on the entry of the machine in order to collect this humidity
and is equipped with a drain cock in the lower part.
-please use these drain cocks in order to permanently leave a slight leak.
-Please ensure that the temperature of the compressed air is not too high by using an air compressor which is correctly
sized ( i.e with an effective output which is higher than the air consumption of machine )
-Please also make sure that the air compressor is correctly ventilated and situated in an airy place.
-Always leave a leak at the drain cocks on your air compressor if it's got some.
Some optional materials have been developed in order to fight even more effectively against humidity. For
sandblasting, ACF manufactures and markets some moisture separators which are sturdy and efficient ( P 104 for
consumption under 2500 litres, P 100 for consumption under 6000 litres and P116/117/118 for a consumption under 12000
litres )
ACF also suggest a cooler with a pneumatic engine which is compact and sturdy in a sash. Please do not hesitate to contact us !!!
6° SERVICING
ACF recommends thorough servicing of all the pneumatic mechanisms in your machine every 500 hours (pneumatic assembly, sand-blasting valve, etc.) ACF can service the
machine on your behalf in its workshops. Please contact our sales department.
-regularly bleed the decanting filter
-regularly clean the inside of the sand-blasting machine.
-if necessary, regularly change the air filter cartridges (if this option is on the machine)
-change clogged bronze filters (ref. 5203079)
-check the hatch seal and the cone seal. Change them if necessary.
