Door Damping Check and Adjustment
Set the door spring of D E C K 1 side to position
( B ) as shown in F i g . 11-2. T h e n , erect the front
panel A Assembly vertically as shown in F i g . 1 1 - 1 .
Open the doors of D E C K 1 and D E C K 2 at the
same time. A t this point, confirm that the dif-
ference between opening degree of both doors is
within 17mm when one side of the door is opened
completely. When this Standard is not satisfied,
change the door spring installation position of
Deck 1 and perform the adjustment as foUows:
• When the opening action of the door of D E C K 1
is later than that of D E C K 2: Change ( B ) in F i g .
11-2 to that in ( A ) .
• When the opening action of the door of D E C K 1
is faster than that of D E C K 2: Change ( B ) in
Fig. 11-2 to that in ( C ) .

Tape Speed Adjustment
1 .
Load the S T D - 3 0 1 test tape into D E C K s 1
and 2.
2.
Short circuit the T P . 1 6 ( X 2 A D J ) and G N D ,
and then Put D E C K
1 into (double-speed)
P L A Y state, and adjust with V R 3 0 7 so that the
frequency 6000Hz±10Hz.
3.
Stop the D E C K 1 operation and put D E C K 2
into (double-speed) P L A Y
state, and adjust
with V R 3 0 4 so that the frequency becomes
±10Hz against that of D E C K 1 .
4.
After releasing the short circuit mentioned in
step 2, put D E C K 1 into normal speed P L A Y
state, and adjust with V R 3 0 6 so that the
frequency of it becomes 3000Hz±5Hz.
5.
Stop the D E C K 1 operation and put D E C K 2
into normal speed P L A Y state, and adjust with
V R 3 0 5 so that the frequency becomes ±5Hz
against D E C K 1 .
