OF THE CALCULATOR
*Since the unit contains precise electronic com.
ponents,
never
attempt
to disassemble
it.
*Be careful not to drop the unit or handle it roughly.
*Avoid operating the keys roughly. Two or more
keys should not be pressed simultaneously as this
may damage the unit.
* Avoid using the unit in extreme temperatures (be-
low 32°F or OPC, or above 104°F or 40°C). Also
protect the unit from extremely dusty or humid
conditions.
"The unit should be operated only when
the roll
paper ts set properly and keys are pressed firmly
and separately.
"Never use volatile fluid such as lacquer thinner,
benzine, etc. for cleaning the unit.

This calculator operates by either dry batteries or
AC (with the AC adaptor).

OPERATION
Precautions
Incorrectly using batteries can cause them to burst
or leak, possibly damaging the interior of the unit.
Note the following precautions:
¢Be sure that the positive + and negative — poles
of each battery are facing in the proper direction.
eNever mix batteries of different types.
eNever mix old batteries and new ones.
eNever leave dead batteries in the Lattery com-
partment.
eRemove
batteries if you do not plan to use the
unit for long periods.
eReplace batteries at least once every 2 years, no
matter how much
the unit is used during that
period.
Never try to recharge the batteries supplied with
the unit.
Do not expose batteries to direct heat, let them
become
shorted, or try to take them apart.
