Operation
Anti Blocking
If the blade stalls on a tough material, the load of the motor
increases. The intelligent micro-electronics senses this over-
load condition and repeatedly reverses the motor, in order
to prevent stalling and to cut the branch through.
This audible reversing cut action continues for up to 3 s.
After cutting through, the garden product continues in its
normal mode, or in case the overload condition continues,
the blades automatically stop in the open position (e.g. in

Grass shear incl. extension pole (see figures B
and E)
The extension pole is designed only for use with the
u
grass shear at waist level and a secondary use for the
shrub shear for overhead reach.
Before mounting or dismounting the grass shear,
u
make sure that you have attached the blade guard to
the grass shear.
Slide the grass shear (3) upward until you hear the "click".
Insert the battery (7) into the battery port (9).
To dismount the grass shear (3), press the release (10) on
the extension pole and slide the grass shear (3) out.
Recommended times
Cut hedges with deciduous leaves in June and October.
Cut evergreen hedges in April and August.
Cut conifer and other fast growing shrubs approx. every six
weeks from May onwards.
Trimming edges (only grass shear) (see figures
C, I and J)
Rotate the product by 90° left or right to the vertical position
for cutting edges.
Guide the product along the edge of the lawn. Prevent the
blade from coming into contact with paved paths, stones or
garden walls because this significantly reduces the lifetime
of the blade.
After use, mount the blade guard.
