6. Hydraulic connections
Delivery hose:
Recommended nominal diameter: ¾" (DN 19)
Recommended nominal pressure: minimum 6 bar
Secure delivery hose on hose nozzle with suitable
hose clamp.
7. Initial setup
Ensure that there is sufficient liquid in the tank.
Important:
Possible environmental pollution and
property damage due to pumping me-
dium leaking from the pump. Make sure
that the pump and system accessories
are in proper condition (no leaks!).
1. OFF/ON switch must be set to "O".
2. The delivery line must initially remain closed
and the end thereof must be securely posi-
tioned in the tank to be filled.
3. Make sure that the pump is immersed in the
liquid.
4. Connect the power supply (see Chapter 5).
5. Set the switch to "I" pump ON (motor must now
be running).
6. Open the delivery valve or the delivery line, the
pump should prime.
Important:
Possible damage to the pump due to dry
operation. If the pump does not prime,
never let it run dry for more than ten
seconds.
7. After some time has passed, check whether
liquid is being discharged from the pressure
line after the air has been removed from it.
8. Use
Important:
Risk of injury when pumping liquids
hazardous to health (burns, poisoning
etc.) Check the safety data sheet for the
pumping medium in question. If contact
or vaporisation might occur, wear suitable
protective clothing (eye protection, hand
protection, respiratory protection etc.).
Do not eat, drink, smoke or use an open
flame while operating the pump.
Important:
Possible environmental pollution and
property damage due to pumping medi-
um leaking from the pump. If liquid leaks
out during the dispensing process, clean
it up immediately with a suitable absorb-
ing agent and dispose of it in accordance
with regulations.
1. Ensure that there is sufficient liquid in the tank.
2. If flexible hoses are used, attach the end
thereof to the tank to be filled. If suitable con-
nections are not available, hold the delivery
hose firmly before starting the filling process.
3. Pressure-side valve (delivery nozzle or system
valve) must remain closed initially.
4. Set the switch to "I" pump ON (motor must now
be running).
Important:
The pump may be damaged by overheat-
ing if operated for prolonged periods with
the delivery line closed (bypass opera-
tion). The pump should only be operated
for a short time (at most 1-2 minutes)
with the delivery nozzle closed.
5. Open the valve in the delivery line while hold-
ing the end of the hose or the delivery nozzle
firmly.
Close the valve on the pressure side when the
dispensing process is interrupted or terminated.
The tank is empty when no more liquid comes from
the hose end or the delivery nozzle and the speed
of the pump audibly increases.
