| Load a compact disc in the CD player.
2 Press the PEAK button on the remote control.
The peak level search mode will be engaged.
Once the peak level point is found, the FL display will show
the track number and time where the peak level is located.
Approx. 3 seconds of the peak level point will be played
back continuously.

To stop the peak level search operation:
@ Press the @ button.
The CD player will enter the stop mode.
To playback the CD's peak level point again:
l™@ Press the PEAK button again.
The peak level point will be played back continuously.
Note:
© The playback sound will be cut during peak level search.
e The memorized peak level point will be cancelled automati-
cally when the CD player's power is turned off or when the &
OPEN/CLOSE button is pressed.
e Peak level search takes approx. 60 to 80 seconds. If the
joaded CD contains many tracks, a slightly longer time will be
necessary.
® IfaCD has many peak level points of almost the same level,
the peak level search function will randomly select one of the
points.
e Peaklevelsearch can also be used during the programmed
playback and auto edit modes.
Time search

This feature can be used to start playback of a track from a spe-
cified time. For example, if you want to start playback of track 3
from 1 minute and 20 seconds into the track.

Press the P| or <4 button until track 3 appears on
the FL display.

Press the >
or <4 button until "1m 20s" appears
under the flashing "TIME" display.

Press the > button to start playback.

Example:
To start playback from index number 2 of track number 3:
2 Press the INDEX button.
The "INDEX?" indicator will flash.

Press numeric button 2.
Index number "02" will appear below the INDEX indicator.
